Nowadays there are more programs to apply, people can search for their future needs, and decide to study what they want. It is more accessible as the options are not limited. A clear example is that there are not only doctors; there are new options like molecular genetics.
However, there are external factors that could affect the opportunity of attending college. A clear example would be the fact that students today are aware that their parents cannot afford their university tuition bill. As a consequence, this population is more concerned about supporting their family in an economic aspect than studying in higher education.
